Partially Finished Nursery

The nursery is not quite finished, but it is ready enough for "Baby Snickers" if he/she decides to show up a little bit early. The string of polka-dots will eventually be a catepillar and the blue and green polka-dots will eventually be snails. The bedding contains both of those critters and so I am going to try to mimic the bedding. I am not very artistic, so I'm not sure if this is a very good idea, but I am going to give it a try.

38 Weeks

Only a few more days until my due date (November 8th) and so far there is nothing going on. We go back to the Doctor on Wednesday to see if there is any progress. We have been busy getting the nursery ready and getting everything washed and put into it's place. I still haven't packed my bag for the hospital yet; I hope to get that done sometime this weekend.

Shower # 3

My very good friend Kristi and her mom Mary hosted a shower for me at Kristi's house last weekend. It was a wonderful shower with my teacher friends and the girls that Nick works with. We had a really nice time and I am very thankful for such wonderful friends.

The super cute diaper cake that Kristi and her sister Catherine made.

Kristi's daughter Kennedy was helping me open presents.

Some of the girls waiting for their turn to iron-on pictures and words onto onsies and bibs for "Baby Snickers." What a great idea!

The catepillar quilt that my mom made for "Baby Snickers" SO CUTE!

Beautiful Fall Day

Nick and I had a wonderful day in the park today! His sister, Baranda did such a great job taking pictures of us with our baby belly!

Nick and I thought that this sign was funny so we had to include it into one of our pictures.

36 Weeks

It's hard to believe that we have less than a month until our due date! YIKES! We are so excited, but very nervous as well. "Baby Snickers" is moving around like crazy and taking up quite a bit of room. I get short of breath very easily now and I get tired easily as well. My sleep is often interrupted because of frequent visits to the bathroom or overall discomfort. Heartburn is still my biggest complaint as of this point, but it is nothing that a few Tums can't handle.

Baby Shower #2

My mother, sister-in-law, aunts, and cousins hosted a baby shower for me in Cambridge. It was wonderful to see many family members and old college friends. Thanks everyone for such a great shower! They had "Baby Snickers" with tiny diapers as part of the decorations on the tables... SO CUTE! We received a lot of really nice things, now we have to figure out where we will put them in our little house. :)

JGHS Hall of Fame

My best friend, Anne-Cameron nominated me for the John Glenn High School Athletic Hall of Fame and surprisingly, I was chosen. I am very humbled, proud, and thankful to be selected for this incredible honor. It is even more special to me because my father is also a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame.
