Donkeys

Papaw was holding Evan while he sat on Tasha

Caleb was sitting on Tasha and Emmy wanted to get her picture taken too.

Papaw held Emmy and Tasha while Aubrey and Caleb sat on their backs.

Evan wanted to get back on Tasha.

Evan tried to pet Emmy and she tried to nibble on his finger. (She didn't actually bite him)

Aunt Angie held Evan up to the gate so that he could get a good look at the donkeys.

Evan couldn't get enough of the donkeys. He kept seeing them through the sliding glass doors and the big windows in Mamaw's kitchen. Every time he saw them he would point and say what sounded like "donkey!" It was a two syllable word that started with a d sound.

Black Friday

We didn't go shopping late Thursday night, or early Friday morning. Instead, we stayed inside and enjoyed being able to relax.

Evan was admiring Mamaw and Papaw's Christmas tree. (They waited until after Evan went home to put any ornaments on their tree).

Evan was trying on the coat that Mamaw bought for him. I think it is still a little too big!

Evan is listening to Aubrey tell a story. (Or maybe he is just trying to figure out what she has on her head).

Schnittker Thanksgiving

On Thursday afternoon we celebrated Thanksgiving at Nick's parents' house. We had a wonderful time with all of the family and stuffed ourselves with all of the fantastic food. Nick and I have so much to be thankful for this year! We are especially thankful for such loving and caring family members, our sweet little one year old boy and the little bundle that will be joining us in May!

Evan wanted to help Aunt Tara open her birthday presents.

Everyone watched Tara open her presents.

Ryan and his son Gianni with his nieces Kennedy and Paige. They took time out to pose for the camera.

Evan and Gianni were saying goodbye to someone.

Mike is holding his nephew Gianni and Evan, while Great Uncle Paul giggles.

Grandpa Schnittker wanted to spend some time with Evan. Last year they took a really long nap together. This year, Evan didn't slow down long enough to take a nap.

Gianni giving Evan a kiss.

Gianni grunted at Evan and then gave him a chest bump. Too cute!

Great Grandma Schnittker with her little boys.

Gianni and Evan playing with the train.

Someone had a long day without a nap.  He did really well!

Cheap Entertainment

I have always been amazed with the fact that most babies would rather play with the box that a toy comes in rather than play with the new toy itself.

Evan Has Big News To Share...

We are due May 16th.

Evan Loves His New Chair!

This could be interesting! I foresee several face plants onto the carpet.

Thank goodness for Legos!

Evan and his Great-Grandma Schnittker

Evan wasn't sure what to think about all of the people.

Giving Aunt Baranda a messy kiss.

Mike was helping Evan get some cake into his mouth.

He liked playing with the cake much more than eating it!

He finally decided to give it a try for himself.

"What just happened?"

Playing the new xylophone.

Evan wanted a better view from atop Uncle Hoss' shoulders.
