Oreo Ice Cream Cake

We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Schnittker's house this afternoon to celebrate Great-Grandma Burke and Grandma Schnittker's birthdays by eating Oreo ice cream cake. Evan walked from person to person begging for a bite from each plate. There were several plates for Evan to choose from; Aunt Tara, Grandma and Grandpa Schnittker, Great-Grandma Burke, Papa and Great-Grandma Schnittker, and Mommy and Daddy were all there.

Playing on the steps.

A fun game of peek-a-boo with Great-Grandma Schnittker.

Taking a break on Aunt Tara's lap.

Playing on the steps again.

Goofy face

Grandpa was trying to help Evan put on Aunt Tara's sunglasses.

Going to see if anyone else will help him with the sunglasses.

Now it's Great-Grandma Burke's turn to try.

Looking good!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today is Grandma Schnittker's birthday so we stopped by for a little bit so Evan could give her a birthday card and tell her Happy Birthday.

Evan handed Grandma her birthday card.

At Home with Daddy

Nick "watched" Evan all day today and while he was watching TV in the living room, Evan was playing quietly in his room. This is what Nick found when he went in to check on him. Evan had opened the bottom drawer of his dresser and pulled everything out and onto the floor! I knew it was going to happen sooner or later.

Great Job Uncle Brent!

Last night we attended the Perkins Township Trustees meeting to watch Uncle Brent accept his award. He was chosen as the Perkins Township Officer of the Year! Great job Uncle Brent!

Brushing Teeth and Reading Books

He likes having his teeth brushed so well that he cries when Nick stops. I think it feels good on his gums plus he likes the taste of the toothpaste.

Evan was reading Baby Farm Animals from Mamaw and Papaw.

A Snowy Saturday

Last Friday night and early Saturday morning we got about four inches of snow. Evan was excited to put on his new snow bibs and boots and go outside to help Daddy clear off the driveway. Of course it took longer to get him all bundled up than the time that we spent outside, but it was worth it! It was really cold though.  After Nick cleared off the driveway, we headed over to Papa and Grandma's (Evan's Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma) house so Nick could clear off their driveway too. They love it when Evan comes over to visit and he loves to see them too. In fact, we have a picture of Papa and Grandma in our living room that Evan always points to and smiles at when he see it.

Almost ready to go outside.

Trying to stay out of Daddy's way.

Evan didn't know what to think of the noisy snow blower.

Watching Daddy go down the driveway.

Papa was trying to get Evan to pop the bubble wrap. Evan didn't seem to like it too well.

1st Time Feeding Himself

Wednesday night we let Evan use his spoon to try to feed himself some yogurt. He started out pretty well, but eventually ended up playing with the yogurt more than eating it.

An Overdue Visit

Tuesday night we went over to Nick's sister's house for a very overdue visit. She made us dinner and the kids had a wonderful time playing together.

Cold Morning To Play With The Goats

Monday morning we got all bundled up and went to the barn to look at all the baby goats. First, we had to go get the other kids, so Evan hitched a ride with Papaw on his tractor. Aubrey's friend, Abby spent the night, so she too was excited to see all of the babies.

All the cousins were excited to see Evan.

Aubrey and Abby were trying to show Evan a couple of the babies.

I think that one was Noah's favorite.

Caleb was showing Abby their secret fort up in the hay loft.

Noah was up there too.

Watching the baby goats play on the bales of hay.

Evan wanted to get a closer look at all the babies.

Maddie and Ty

Sunday evening we visited my college friends, Juna and Chris and their twins, Maddie and Ty. The kids had a great time playing and we had a good catching up. It was nice to see Juna and Chris. It's too bad that we live so far away.

My first attempt at at group shot.

Maddie was trying to teach Evan how to do some of her gymnastics moves.
