I was on spring break during the last week of March. After visiting my family for a couple of days, Nick, Evan and I made the trip to Nashville to see my good friend Anne, her husband, Nathaniel, and their three beautiful children, Jack, Luke, and Lily. We had such a wonderful time and we can't wait to make the trip again. The weather was really nice except for the one day that it rained. It was a very low-key visit, which was absolutely perfect. It was a normal week for Anne's family; Nathaniel went to work, and the kids went to preschool, gymnastics, martial arts, and play dates. What a busy, but amazing family! The highlight of our visit was a trip to the Nashville Zoo. I was so excited because I hadn't been to a zoo since I went to the San Diego Zoo when I was a junior in college. It was the first trip to a zoo for Evan, and he was awake and smiling the whole time. None of us wanted to leave, but we were all worn out from so much excitement. I am so thankful for such wonderful friends and I hope that we can continue making the trip to Nashville so that our children will get to know each other.
