The kitchen is taped off and ready to be primed.

Papaw patched up a lot of holes throughout the house!

Mamaw tried to clean the bathroom. That carpet was quickly removed and replaced with different flooring.

Nick was taping around the windows in the living room so we could paint.

Evan wanted to get a better look at what Daddy was doing.

Papaw helped prime the walls in the red dining room and kitchen.

A view of the kitchen after it had been primed.
Papaw took a break to take a nap with Grant. Mamaw had the boys down in the basement while we painted upstairs.

Papaw was priming the hallway back towards the boys' bedrooms.

Bye Bye Outhouse

The pool "changing room" that looked like an outhouse.

I love how pretty all of the trees looked!

One of Papaw's projects was to tear the outhouse down.

New Roof

One of the very first things that we did to the house was have the roof replaced. It had only a couple more years of life left, plus it was very ugly. It only took the roofers about 3 days to complete the project, minus a couple of rainouts. We were very happy to see the old red roof go away and see the new matching brown roof be put on the house.

Lots of leaves and junk in one of the valleys of the roof.

Starting to put the new shingles on the roof of the garage.

Papaw was there watching the progress of the roof.

Starting on the back of the middle section of the roof.

Finishing up the back of the house.

I was so happy to see the ugly red roof go away!

Working on the front part of the roof.

You can see a huge difference in the new brown shingles on the sides and the old red shingles in the middle.

Aunt Marca stopped to talk to Papaw and Evan

Evan wasn't too excited about petting Radar.

He tried to pet Oreo the calf.

Watching the calves.

Trying to stand up in Uncle Hoss' boots.

Mamaw and Evan stayed in the van to watch the boys tear down the barn because Grant was napping in his carseat.

The old house that is on Uncle Chuck's farm.

One of the old barns on Uncle Chuck's farm.

The boys were trying to figure out how they were going to pull the barn down.

A different view of the partially torn down barn.

Evan wanted to take a tractor ride with Uncle Hoss.

Sitting on the wheel of Uncle Hoss' tractor.

Enjoying the beautiful day with Mamaw and Papaw.
