Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Schnittker's House

Evan was listening to Daddy read the card from Great-Grandma and Papa Schnittker

Daddy was reading an Easter card to Evan.

Great-Grandma Schnittker was showing Evan the new blanket with doggies all over it.

Trying to concentrate on his yummy lunch bites.

Looking at more goodies that the Easter Bunny left him at Grandma and Grandpa Schnittker's house.

Trying out his new rake, hoe, and shovel in Grandma Schnittker's flower beds.

Daddy took some time out to get some zzz's.

He got stuck in his little play seat.

Getting frustrated because his is stuck and no one will help him.

Sitting on the steps with Daddy.

Ready for Church

Watching the birds and squirrels play in the back yard.

Posing for Mommy

More posing for Mommy.

Waiting for Mommy and Daddy to finish getting ready for church.

Easter Morning

The Easter Bunny left a basket full of goodies for Evan on his favorite chair.

Evan took a bath first then found his basket right away.

Taking a look at everything in his basket.

Emailing

Evan is pretending to email someone on my old computer that no longer works.

He knows how to turn the computer on. Unfortunately for Evan, I haven't charged it forever, so it won't turn on for him.

Lock the Door

We have two pocket doors in our bedroom. One leads into the main part of the house and the other leads into the master bathroom. Up until now, I have been able to close the door in the bathroom and keep Evan out. However, Evan has figured out how to get the door open and twice now he has come into the bathroom while I am taking a shower. All of a sudden I notice a lot more light in the bathroom and a few seconds later I can see his little hands peeling back the shower curtain to see what I am doing. I guess it is time to start locking the doors!

Bird's Nest

The last couple of days we have noticed a couple of birds that keep sitting on the basket of forsythia flowers that I have hanging on the front door. Yesterday, we noticed that they were actually starting to build a nest, so Nick took all of the grass and twigs out of the flowers. Today, the nest is back and even better. I decided that I am not going to try to fight the birds. I am going to let them keep their nest in the basket, unless they start to make a mess all over my front door. They are cute little brown birds with a red chest. I am not sure what kind of birds they are, but they have a really neat song that they sing. I'll let you know when we get some eggs in the nest.

The basket that hangs on our front door. You can see a little bit of the grass and twigs that have fallen out of the nest.

A view of the nest in the flowers.

Playing in the Sun

Evan had fun playing in Mommy's flowerbed.
