A Very Quick Visit

My mom and dad came up on Friday afternoon and were planning to stay for the entire weekend. While we were at dinner on Friday it began to storm pretty badly. I looked at the radar on my phone and noticed that Cambridge was getting hit really hard. My mom's phone rang and it was my brother, Brandon calling to tell my parents that it was storming really badly down there and that the power was out. They have a couple of generators that they use so at this point they weren't too concerned. A few minutes later my Aunt Marca called to let them know that their church was gone. The storm was so powerful that it blew the entire A-frame sanctuary roof and the balcony away. At this point, my parents were very concerned and decided that they would spend the night at our house but get up and go back home early the next day. They figured that with a storm that bad that there would be a lot of damage on the farm and they might be out of power for a while and thought Brandon would need some help getting water to the animals. As it turned out, they did have several downed trees throughout the farm, but there was no serious damage to anything. They were without power for 5 or 6 very long and hot days, but they were able to keep some things going with the help of the generators.

Baby Grant was  happy to see Mamaw and Papaw. 

After dinner Friday night, we bought a new toilet to replace the broken one in the downstairs half bathroom. My parents were staying downstairs in the living room that night and didn't like the idea of having to go upstairs every time they needed to use the bathroom. I was glad to finally have a working bathroom on the main level too. Evan wanted to help Papaw and Daddy put the new toilet together.

Evan found a tool that he thought Papaw needed to use.
