July 3, 2012

Our friends Amanda and Bob hosted a Fourth of July party on July 3rd at their new house. It was really hot, but so much fun for everyone. They have a nice little pond in their back yard that all of the kids and dogs loved playing in or around. We couldn't keep Evan away from the edge of the pond, so Nick took Evan's clothes off and let him play at the edge of the water. He was filthy and had to be hosed down before we went home, but he had so much fun! I feel so guilty because we currently don't have a back yard for him to run and play in this summer. He gets so excited whenever he gets the chance to be outside and has the freedom to run around. Hopefully we find a new house with a big yard for him to play in soon.

Checking out the pond and keeping his eyes on the dogs.

Mommy and Evan were watching the dogs fetch the balls in the pond.

Amanda's dad was helping Evan pet Cabbie.

Watching Cabbie chase after the ball in the pond.

Evan and Conner had fun running around.

We knew it would be hard to keep Evan out of the water all evening, so we decided to just take his clothes off and let him play in the water in his diaper.

As you can see, he sat down in the mud a few times.

Amanda got him away from the edge of the pond.

Amanda was trying to get him to pet Ruger.

The boys thought it would be fun to throw rocks.

Soggy, dirty diaper. I promise it was only a muddy diaper and not a poopy one.
